Australia’s Webjet Introduces Multiday Tour Bookings From Global Operators

Webjet becomes one of the few major online travel agencies to offer long-form tours via partnership with ReserveX
Australia-based online travel agency Webjet has expanded its offering by launching multiday tour bookings from leading operators including G Adventures, Intrepid Travel, Trafalgar and Insight Vacations.

The move marks a departure from typical inventory offered by major OTAs, which focus on flights, hotels and short-form activities.

Following a soft launch in September 2025, Webjet has added a dedicated “Tours” tab on its homepage and commenced a brand marketing campaign in October, utilising the technology platform of Calgary-based ReserveX to integrate complex multiday-tour itineraries into its site.

The platform enables real-time availability and checkout for these tours, bridging a gap in the standard OTA model.

One example cited is a 14-day Trafalgar tour covering the east coast of the United States and Canada, now bookable through Webjet’s site.

The company stated that traditional OTAs often deprioritise long‐form tours due to the “legacy and fragmented technology” required to support them as well as the complexity of integrating with tour operators.

Industry watchers note that Webjet’s strategic push into multiday tours aligns with its broader growth objective of capturing a larger share of customers’ travel-wallet by moving beyond flights and hotels.

The step reflects its recent brand repositioning as a full-service travel platform for Australian and New Zealand travellers.

While Webjet did not disclose specific financial targets tied to the tour segment, it emphasises that adding tours bolsters its product vertical diversification.

The company previously unveiled a major brand refresh and campaign under the theme “Go Somewhere,” which coincided with an expanded product suite including hotels, packages, business travel and now tours.

The rollout of multiday tours may also offer competitive advantage in capturing travellers seeking deeper immersive travel experiences, particularly as demand recovers in longer-duration adventures.

Analysts will monitor whether conversion and margin profiles match those of Webjet’s traditional flight and hotel bookings.

In sum, Webjet’s entry into the multiday tour segment through ReserveX marks a deliberate expansion of its travel-booking ecosystem and signals evolution in how online travel agencies serve experience-led travellers.
