As the investigation enters its third week, pleas for information grow amid ongoing police searches.
The search for 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop, missing from Queensland since May 15, has entered its third week, prompting her mother, Kylie
Johnson, to publicly appeal for assistance.
Pheobe was last seen at approximately 8:30 AM on May 15, when she was reportedly dropped off by her housemates, Tanika Bromley and James Wood, outside Bundaberg Regional Airport, where she was scheduled to board a flight to Perth.
Despite extensive police searches, including efforts in treacherous bushland, authorities have not located Pheobe.
The investigation has led to her housemates being charged with unrelated weapons offenses, and their residence in Gin Gin has been declared a crime scene.
Additionally, a grey Hyundai ix35 associated with the case has been seized by police.
In a recent video statement, Kylie
Johnson expressed the profound impact of her daughter's disappearance, stating, 'Our lives have been changed for the worse.' She described Pheobe as a 'beautiful, loving, kind person' and emphasized the emotional toll on the family.
Johnson urged anyone with pertinent information, however minor, to come forward to assist police in locating her daughter.
Police have focused their investigation on the greater Gin Gin area and continue to seek sightings or video footage of the grey Hyundai ix35 between May 15 and 18. Authorities have communicated their persistent commitment to exploring various leads in the investigation, with a determination to find Pheobe.
Johnson articulated her unwavering hope for her daughter's return, while also grappling with the potential for a tragic outcome, stating, 'If the worst-case scenario has happened, I at least need to know where she's resting.'
Currently, police are soliciting information from the public and have provided contact options for those wishing to remain anonymous.
