Virgin Australia has affirmed that deliveries of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft remain on track to meet its fleet renewal objectives this year, underpinning broader efforts to modernise and expand its domestic and regional services.

The Brisbane-based carrier and its regional operations are scheduled to receive a further nine aircraft in the six months through June 30, including seven Boeing 737-8 jets that will bolster narrowbody capacity and replace ageing aircraft in its fleet.

Airline executives have expressed confidence that the continued delivery of these aircraft will enable the carrier to meet its planned capacity targets and phase out older 737-800 and 737-700 models over the coming months.
