Australian singer and songwriter Sia has been recognised as the country’s most influential music export on Spotify in 2025, topping the platform’s Global Impact List for Australian artists with her collaboration “Beautiful People.” The Adelaide-born performer secured the highest volume of international streams outside Australia, marking the second time she has led the annual ranking after previously achieving the distinction in 2023.

The Spotify Global Impact List measures the performance of Australian artists based on overseas streaming figures, offering a snapshot of which tracks resonate most strongly with global audiences.

Sia’s success with “Beautiful People,” a collaboration with French producer David Guetta, underscores her sustained international appeal and the continued global demand for Australian pop music.

Other Australian artists also recorded substantial international traction during 2025. Psychedelic music project Tame Impala placed multiple tracks within the top tier of the ranking, while The Kid LAROI achieved several entries driven by strong North American and European streaming numbers.

Electronic, indie and alternative acts including Dom Dolla, Dean Lewis, Rüfüs Du Sol and Royel Otis likewise featured prominently, reflecting the stylistic breadth of Australia’s export strength.

Streaming data indicates that the United States remained the largest international market for Australian artists, followed by the United Kingdom and Germany.

Additional growth was recorded in Brazil, Mexico, the Philippines and France, while emerging markets such as South Africa and Colombia demonstrated accelerating engagement with Australian music.

Industry representatives noted that global streaming platforms continue to expand the reach of Australian artists, enabling sustained international visibility and commercial success.

The 2025 results highlight both established global stars and a new generation of performers contributing to Australia’s growing cultural footprint abroad.
