Australia has secured sufficient fuel shipments to sustain national supply through April and into early May, offering short-term stability as global energy markets remain under pressure.

Energy Minister Chris Bowen confirmed that contracted deliveries of petrol, diesel and jet fuel are scheduled to arrive "well into" May, supported by coordinated efforts between government agencies, refiners and international partners.

The assurance comes at a time of heightened uncertainty surrounding key global shipping routes, particularly the Strait of Hormuz, which has experienced significant disruption.
