Basement Jaxx Return for Full Live Tour in Australia & New Zealand After More Than a Decade

Basement Jaxx Return for Full Live Tour in Australia & New Zealand After More Than a Decade

UK electronic duo announce headline shows across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Fremantle and Christchurch in early 2026
Iconic UK dance act Basement Jaxx are set to bring their full live production to Australia and New Zealand in March 2026 — their first headline tour in the region in more than fifteen years.

The duo confirmed headline performances in Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle in Australia, and Christchurch in New Zealand, following their live-show relaunch at the 2025 Coachella festival and a UK/Ireland tour.

The announcement was made ahead of general public ticket sales, which open at 10 am on Friday, October 31. The tour kicks off with the duo’s appearance at the Electric Avenue 2026 in Christchurch on Friday, February 27, followed by shows at Riverstage in Brisbane (Sunday, March 1), Hindley Street Music Hall in Adelaide (Tuesday, March 3), Sydney Opera House Forecourt (Thursday, March 5), Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne (Saturday, March 7) and concludes at Fremantle Prison in Western Australia on Wednesday, March 11.

In announcing the run, the pair emphasised that the upcoming shows would feature their full live band, vocalists and visual production rather than the stripped-back DJ sets they have offered more recently.

Fans in the region have expressed excitement at the return of the full concert experience, noting it has been over a decade since the group toured locally in this format.

The tour forms part of a broader resurgence for Basement Jaxx, marking a renewed focus on live performance and international markets.

Their website lists the February 27 Christchurch show and the March 8 Golden Plains Festival show (Meredith, Victoria) among their upcoming engagements, reinforcing the scheduled regional dates.

Australia and New Zealand music-lovers will now have ample opportunity to experience one of electronic music’s most influential acts.

With multiple major city stops and festival appearances, the 2026 run stands out as a high-profile event in the region’s live-music calendar.

As general ticket sales approach, fans are advised to monitor official ticketing platforms and set alerts ahead of the public on-sale date.

The tour not only reflects the enduring legacy of the duo but also demonstrates continued demand for large-scale dance-music live events in the region.
