Paramount Expands UFC Deal to Cover Latin America and Australia from 2026

Streaming rights extended to Paramount+ in Latin America and Australia as UFC enters new global phase with exclusive deal
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Paramount have announced that their substantial seven-year partnership will now include Latin America and Australia, beginning in 2026. Under the expanded arrangement, Paramount+ will serve as the streaming home for UFC events in these territories, joining the United States in the exclusive rights agreement.

In August, the UFC and Paramount had unveiled a US-centric deal valued at approximately US$7.7 billion, covering 13 marquee numbered events and 30 Fight Night cards each year, to be delivered via Paramount+ (with select simulcasts on CBS).

The new announcement extends coverage: in Latin America the deal covers 13 marquee events and 30 Fight Nights annually; in Australia the rights include all Fight Night cards and the preliminary bouts of the numbered events, while main-card pay-per-view rights remain with other partners for now.

According to UFC President and CEO Dana White, the expansion underscores a clear focus on global growth and the strengthening of the sport’s international footprint.

He said the deal “just keeps getting bigger and better” and confirmed that the move into new regions reflects Paramount’s aggressive global strategy.

From Paramount’s side, Chair of Direct-to-Consumer Cindy Holland said the company remains committed to delivering “premium UFC programming to audiences on a global scale,” signalling this as an important step in its broader sports-streaming ambitions.

The agreement means that fans in Latin America and Australia, beginning in 2026, will for the first time be able to access a majority of UFC content via Paramount+ subscriptions, mirroring the service model being adopted in the United States.

While financial terms for the regional rights were not publicly disclosed, media outlets estimate the US portion alone has an average annual value of about US$1.1 billion.

The expanded deal comes at a moment when streaming platforms and sports organisations are increasingly forging global licensing agreements to consolidate pay-per-view content under direct-to-consumer models.

For the UFC, shifting away from traditional pay-per-view—particularly in the US and now abroad—marks a landmark transformation in how its live events are delivered and monetised.

As the deal becomes active in 2026, subscribers in Latin America and Australia will be watching under the new model, while current regional rights arrangements still run their course.

The expansion confirms Paramount’s ambition to make UFC a truly global streaming anchor in its portfolio just as it mapped out in its US deal signed in 2025.

With global distribution secured through Paramount+ across the United States, Latin America and Australia, UFC is better positioned than ever to scale its international presence and monetise its rising global audience.
