The agenda will notably include the impact of recent tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on Australian exports, with particular focus on the 10 percent tariff affecting all exports and a 50 percent tariff on steel and aluminum products.

Albanese has indicated Australia's intent to negotiate exemptions from these tariffs, reflecting the broader economic implications for Australian industries.

He asserts that Australia can maintain a pivotal role in global affairs despite current international pressures, advocating for a vision of a diverse society that respects and values all citizens.

In anticipation of the G7 discussions, he stated, "Our international relationships in the fastest growing region of the world in human history benefit us, but also provide a platform for us to play a positive and stabilizing global role in uncertain times."
