Catherine Aulia Selected for Team Australia at 2025 Master’U BNP Paribas Championship

Young Australian prospect Catherine Aulia returns to represent Australia at the global university-level tennis event in Reims, France
Australian tennis player Catherine Aulia has been named to the national collegiate roster for the 2025 edition of the Master’U BNP Paribas Championship, the premier world university tennis event.

Aulia will join a select group of Australian student-athletes aiming to compete for their country in Reims, France — marking another milestone in her growing career.

At 21 years old, Aulia is currently enrolled at the University of Tennessee, where she studies kinesiology.

She initially drew international attention at just 14 when she represented Australia in the Billie Jean Cup.

Since 2022 she has featured in multiple previous Master’U BNP Paribas Championships, underlining her status as a rising talent in Australia’s tennis pathway.

This year’s competition will bring together top collegiate and university players from eight nations, showcasing both men’s and women’s singles, doubles and mixed events.

For Aulia — who also competes in professional circuits when opportunities arise — the selection signals trust in her ability to deliver under pressure in a national-team environment.

Aulia has spoken of the camaraderie among the Australian squad, many of whom trained together at the National Tennis Academy in Brisbane before enrolling in universities abroad.

She said she is especially looking forward to competing in doubles, where she expects strong synergy with her teammates.

For Australian tennis, Aulia’s inclusion highlights the strength of the country’s development pathways.

As the Master’U BNP Paribas Championship returns, all eyes will be on Aulia and her teammates to carry forward the tradition of representing Australia with distinction on the global collegiate stage.
