However, the emerging crisis reflects a growing mismatch between supply availability and the ability to distribute fuel efficiently under rapidly changing conditions.

A sharp surge in demand has played a central role.

Motorists and businesses have increased purchases significantly in response to global uncertainty and rising prices, placing immediate pressure on local supply chains.

In some areas, demand has effectively doubled within days, overwhelming delivery schedules and leaving service stations unable to restock quickly enough.

Independent and regional fuel retailers have been particularly hard hit.
