The shutdown, announced just weeks after the plant resumed exports following a prolonged outage, has been attributed to technical work involving compressor systems.

The company confirmed that replacement of dry gas seals and system flushing are underway as part of final commissioning for the Barossa gas project, which is intended to supply the facility.

While the halt is described as temporary, it affects one of Australia’s strategically important LNG export terminals, located in the Northern Territory.
