The disruption has sent global oil and gas prices surging and triggered intense competition among countries seeking to secure cargoes for power generation and industry.

Against this backdrop, Australian officials have highlighted the country’s capacity to deliver stable energy supplies to partners across Asia and beyond.

As one of the world’s largest LNG exporters, Australia has become a critical supplier for markets including Japan, South Korea and China, where natural gas plays a central role in electricity generation and industrial production.
